ALL NATURAL INSECT REPELLANT

My daughter shows and trains horses quite extensively here in the South, (visit her website at http://www.traceywinter.com for training and boarding information and other interesting tidbits) and has been "bugging" me for some time to come up with an "all natural" bug repellent that works! After testing many different formulas, we have found one that she says is the "absolute best" product she's ever used! Most insect repellents are petroleum based (yes, that's petrol as in "gasoline", "turpentine," etc!!) Our product has absolutely no chemicals and is alcohol free. This is a 100% herbal product in a pure aloe vera base. It's marvelous for the horses skin and coat, and it smells absolutely wonderful! Contains litsea cubeba, lemongrass, and other pure essential oils. By the way - it's "human safe" - so you and your children can use it too! The 2oz. size is perfect for carrying in your purse, backpack or tackle box!

SUPPLEMENT ITEMS

FLAX SEED: Problems with their skin and coat?? Try flax seed and watch their coats shine and dapple out! Flax seed is high in Omega-3 oils, and ours is certified organically grown. Feed 2 tablespoons (1/8 cup) per day and mix in with their grain. 16 oz. will last 20 days. For optimum performance, the flax seed can be ground in a coffee grinder or boiled at a ratio of 3 parts water to 1 part flax seed. However...please do not store boiled or ground flax seed for more than 24-hours. Feeding whole flax seed is just fine, if you don't exceed the recommended dosage of 2 tablespoons per day.

FLAX SEED OIL: Same as above. Best kept under refrigeration, but shelf life if un-refrigerated is 3 - 6 months, depending on your climate.

FEVERFEW HERB C/S, ORGANIC: Proven effective for arthritis problems, including soreness and lameness. After 2 weeks you WILL notice a difference! We have been able to discontinue the use of Conquer, and all other arthritis and anti inflammatory supplements with this product. Please note: this product will test "positive" and must be discontinued at least 45 days before a recognized competition. Best if used in conjunction with White Willow Bark listed below. Suggested dosage: 1/3 cup daily, mixed in with feed or your other supplements.

ROSE HIPS C/S, ORGANIC: Excellent for hoof care. Suggested dosage: 3 oz. daily mixed in with feed or your other supplements.

SPIRULINA POWDER, ORGANIC: Can help control allergies. Suggested dosage: 1 teaspoon to tablespoon per day. Please check with your holistic veterinarian on this item.

WHEAT GERM OIL: Our veterinarian highly recommends wheat germ oil. Ours is 100% pure (and not diluted with other carrier oils, like cheaper products) and produces a luxurious coat, at the same time putting your animal in top condition. An extremely rich source of natural Vitamin E, and fortified with Vitamin A and D. Promotes breeding performance, endurance, healthy skin, and hair coat. Recommended use - 1 oz. for an average sized horse. This is a human grade product and safe for our health needs, too.
