Our glycerin melt and pour soap is now available in many different types. We use only natural ingredients and vegetable-derived glycerin, one of nature's most effective moisturizers, to bring you a gentle glycerin soap base that's good to your skin and kind to your environment. Glycerin, a natural emollient, draws moisture out of the air to benefit skin health. It cleanses without stripping or upsetting the delicate natural pH balance necessary for soft, healthy skin. And, since we use no heavy animal oils, our soap rinses clean and leaves no soapy film behind. Ingredients are listed on our Product Description page. Great Tip!! - To make your soap "very creamy" add 2 - 3% beeswax (by weight) to your M&P soap. Melt everything together and stir very gently so you don't create bubbles.

Body Wash Directions: We recommend warming the base for better incorporation of fragrance and easier pouring into bottles. However, it is not mandatory to warm the base. Do not boil or overheat. Cool product with the top off of the bottle to prevent condensation. Product will re-thicken upon cooling. If the bubbles are not white, then too much color has been added to the formula. Your product will become thin if you use too much fragrance. Fragrance at 0.5% = 1/2 teaspoon per 16 ounces of base. Each fragrance will react differently in the base. Important: Test your formula in small quantities first to ensure you are achieving your desired outcome.
Great idea! - Add pumice to make a "gardener's soap" or "mechanic's soap".
Recipe for E-A-S-Y Goat's Milk Soap:
Melt 1 pound white glycerin soap base in the top of a double boiler
or in the microwave on "medium" setting. As your soap base is melting,
dissolve about 1 - 2 tablespoons goat's milk powder in 1 - 2 tablespoons
warm water (usually a little more water than powder is required). Stir
very well and pour this mixture through a sieve lined with an old pair
of pantyhose, cheesecloth, or nylon netting to be sure all the lumps
have been removed. Pour into the soap base mixture, stir very well, and
pour into molds.
Goat's Milk and Honey Soap:
To the goat's milk and water mixture above, add 1 tablespoon of
warmed honey blending well to ensure there are no lumps, then pour
through a sieve.... and continue as described above.
Other Variations:
When your soap and goat's milk and/or honey has been completely blended
and has started to cool, you might try adding 1/4 cup coarsely ground
oatmeal, ground almonds, dried herbs or flower petals, cornmeal, loofa,
pumice, etc.
