WATER SOLUBLE LIQUID DYES FOR ALL BATH AND BODY PRODUCTS

These water soluble dyes are made from D&C and FD&C dyes which means they are safe for all bath and toiletry products. They are stable in low and high pH environments. They can be used in cold process soap making, melt and pour soaps, lotions, smelly jellies, creams and gel products. They are NOT compatible with gel candles or any oil base product. The color chart below will show you what the colors will look like with Melt and Pour Soap. The depth of color will vary depending on how much dye you add to your product, and the type of product you are making. We will be replacing our current line of water based dyes with these fantastic new colors that were developed to replace our existing line of soap color dyes. They are versatile and will work in all water based products such as soaps, liquid soaps, lotions and creams. They are 10-15 times stronger than our existing soap color line. The colors are formulated with Glycerin which will keep them from bleeding. These new, stronger dyes are listed as and since they are 10 - 15 times stronger, they are a little more expensive, yet cheaper in the long run! In testing, we found that 10 drops per pound produced maximum color saturation in clear m&p soap.

SOAP DYE CHIPS FOR M&P, HOT AND COLD PROCESS SOAP MAKING, AND REGULAR AND GEL CANDLES

Our soap dyes are ready to use and are also perfect for regular and gel candles. Use a knife to cut a very small piece off the chip as it is very concentrated. Remember, you can always add more color, but you can't take any away! Depending upon desired color intensity, each chip should color approximately one to two (1 - 2) pounds of wax or gel. For soap making, one (1) chip should color approximately four (4) pounds of soap. Need to color bigger batches or want a larger variety of color? Visit our Candle Dye page. Candle dyes can also be used to dye soap. When making COLD PROCESS soap, its best to add chips with the carrier oils when they have completely melted.  Adding them to the melted carrier oils before blending the water/lye solution, not only assures not overheating the chips but also no speckling should occur.
